Lola Pearl Foster Felker

Mrs. Lola Pearl Foster Felker, 98, retired employee of Dixie Manufacturing, died Friday, November 17, 2006, at her residence on Woodland Street. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dorris Rader officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday after 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Zeb D. Foster and Margaret Thomason Foster. She was married to Roscoe Felker who preceded her in death in 1987. She was a member of the Mooresville Pike Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Faye (Wayne) Shepherd of Cumming, Georgia; Mrs. Doris Cole of Columbia; six grandchildren, Billy (Cindy) Shepherd of Roswell, Georgia; Michael (Betsy) Shepherd of Norcross, Georgia; Johnny (Martha) Felker of Mt. Juliet; Kevin (Patty) Felker of Knoxville; John Cole of Columbia; Tammy (Joe) Pritchett of Fayetteville, Georgia; eleven great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Gilliam of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Dean Felker. Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Mooresville Pike Church of Christ.
