Lorene Ida Tuckerman Zumbrunn, 85, retired employee of Electrical Systems Company, died Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at her residence on Fry Branch Road in Lynnville. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 6:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Blake Hawthorne and Reverend David Wood officiating. Born July 22, 1933 in Toledo, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Melvin Tuckerman and the late Ida Lavergne Pfaff Tuckerman. She was a 1951 graduate of Sylvania -Burnham High School in Ohio. She enjoyed arts and crafts, ceramics, creating plastic roses with rose oil, jewelry, painted saws, make-over of children’s spring hobby horses into lamp light posts, and doll holders. In 1970, she received the award “Best of Show” at the Toledo, Ohio and surrounding areas Ceramic Show. Throughout her daughters’ younger years, she served as Leader for Campfire Girls and was a member of the Sylvania Chapter 82 of Rainbow Girls, affiliated with the Eastern Star. Mrs. Zumbrunn was of Presbyterian faith. Survivors include her husband, whom she married July 19, 1952, Robert Edward Zumbrunn of Lynnville; son, Steven (Donna) Zumbrunn of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Cynthia (Tim) Steinmeyer of Silver Lake, Indiana; Cheryl (Robert) Daugherty of Lynnville; sister-in-law, Janet Tuckerman of Lynnville; granddaughters, Sarah Steinmeyer of Arizona; Elizabeth Steinmeyer of Indiana; Rachael (Titus) Emery of Indiana; Anne (Eric) Taylor of West Virginia; Megan Zumbrunn of Iowa; Caitlin (Sean) McNally of Knoxville; Sgt. Kristen (Monique) Zumbrunn of California; six great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Joyce Ann Zeigler, Martha Rose Nieman; brothers, Lee Roy Tuckerman, and Terry Lee Tuckerman.
