Lottie Hardison Cheek

December 18, 1915 — March 26, 2007

Mrs. Lottie Frances Hardison Cheek, 91, long-time resident of Sowell Mill Pike in the Leftwich Bridge Community, died Monday, March 26, 2007 at Columbia Care and Rehab. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Calvin Hardison officiating. Burial will be in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends after 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Reece Hardison and Naomi Brown Hardison. She was a long-time member of Antioch Church of Christ. Her husband, Hillary Marshall Cheek, died November 17, 1992. Survivors include four sons, Hubert Marshall (Regina) Cheek of Columbia, Donald Rogers (Gail) Cheek of Atlanta, William Larry (Kaye) Cheek of Columbia, and David Myron (Bobbie) Cheek of Lewisburg; two sisters, Brownie Atkisson and Eugenia Harmon, both of Columbia; a brother, Jerry Hardison of Columbia; ten grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Lurleen Hurley and a brother, Harlan Hardison. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
