View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast LouDean Hinson Mills, 87, retired longtime employee of General Electric, died Friday, June 29, 2018 at her residence on Manor Road.Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with her son Michael Mills and Rev. Keith Sherwood officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Born June 18, 1931 in Perry County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Wallace Hinson and the late Pearl Curry Hinson. On December 22, 1951, she married Raymond Eugene Mills who preceded her in death February 21, 1983. In her younger days, she was a waitress at The Ranch House Restaurant in Columbia. Mrs. Mills was a very devoted mother and grandmother.Survivors include her son, Michael Mills of Columbia; daughter, Sheila (Jimmy) King of Murfreesboro; sisters, Lorrene Hinson of Michigan, Zula Deputy of Indiana, Lula Mae Hooper of Nashville; grandchildren, Chad Mills (Sabrina Turner) of Columbia, Chelsea (Carson) Woody of Culleoka; great grandson, Gunner Mills of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by three sisters, Era Black, Louise Mercer, Eva Worthington; and brothers, Shug Hinson, Redeath Hinson, and Willie B. Hinson.Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
