MRS. LOUISE HANESMrs. Louise Brown Hanes, 81, widow of Bernard Vestal Hanes and resident of The Bridge at Life Care Center, died Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at Life Care Center.Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk and John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to East Side Church of Christ Building Fund. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Howard Brown, Sr. and Cova Lee Thompson Brown. She was a member of East Side Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Annette (Eddie) Prince of Oxford, Georgia; Mrs. Janice (Larry) Kirk of Decatur, Alabama; one brother, Howard Brown, Jr. of Columbia; five grandchildren, Beth Prince, Stephen Prince, Michael Kirk, Brian Kirk, and Matthew Kirk; and two great grandchildren, Madison Prince and Ashley Prince. Pallbearers will be Eddie Prince, Stephen Prince, Jim Brown, Don Brown, Arthur Hanes and Danny Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Paul Perryman, Barry Brown, Doug Johnson, and members of Veterans of Foreign Wars #4969.
