Louise Gunnels Langley, 92, retired seamstress, died Thursday, July 24, 2014 at her residence on Depot Street in Spring Hill. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. Keith Sherwood officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Sunday from 2:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the church. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John J. Gunnels and Elizabeth Johnson Gunnels. On December 19, 1936 she married Albert Perry Langley who preceded her in death on July 29, 1986. Mrs. Langley retired after twenty-two years employment at Weather-Tamer. Some of her favorite pastimes include reading, solving crossword puzzles and crocheting. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters, Vivian (J. W. Murphy) Crutcher of Spring Hill, Linda (Tony) Lee of Columbia; son, Michael (Kathy) Langley of Columbia; seven grandchildren, Teresa (Joey) Hollingsworth, Melissa (Phillip) White, Chris (Shannon) Crutcher, Jeff Crutcher, David (Ashley) Lee, Lindsay (Robbie) Richardson, Perri Lynn (Brett) McCord; fourteen great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Peggy Ann Langley and one brother, John Madison Gunnels. Pallbearers will be David Lee, Chris Crutcher, Joey Hollingsworth, Brett McCord, Robbie Richardson, Phillip White, Dwight Gunnels, and Neil Hollingsworth.
