MRS. LOUISE WILLIAMS PILKINTON Mrs. Louise Williams Pilkinton, 94, retired houseparent at the Tennessee Baptist Children's Home and resident of the Sowell Mill Pike, died Thursday, October 9, 2003 at Life Care of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Dewain Brown officiating. Burial will be in the Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday and Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Oakes & Nichols. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Life Care. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Richard Benjamin Williams and Alberta Blalock Williams. She was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. Her husband, Carl Pilkinton, died March 10, 1989. Survivors include two daughters, Vivian (James) Connelly of Columbia and Sue Eley of Franklin; two sons, William (Judy) Pilkinton of Culleoka and Dane (Carolyn) Pilkinton of Columbia; a son-in-law, Kenneth (Bert) Riddle of Columbia; a sister, Margaret McMinn of Brentwood; two brothers, Harlan Williams of Columbia and James (Lois) Williams of Franklin; 18 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Riddle; a sister, Mildred Quirk and two brothers, Coleman Williams and Bill Williams. Active pallbearers are Marty Pilkinton, Rob Pilkinton, Bill Pilkinton, Tommy Elliott, Jimmy Elliott and Ken Riddle. Granddaughters and their spouses and the staff of Life Care of Columbia are honorary pallbearers.
