Lovell Autry Jones

Mrs. Lovell Autry Jones, 77, former employee of Southern Bell, died Monday, April 18, 2005, at her residence on Rolling Fields Circle. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Jerry Elder officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Sumner County native was the daughter of the late Alvin Wade Autry and Artie Harris Autry. She was a graduate of Gallatin High School. She was a member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ and the Columbia Lady Lions Club. Survivors include her husband of fifty-seven years, Billy W. Jones of Columbia; one daughter, Mary DeFrees Jones of Memphis; two sons, Scott W. (Catherine) Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, Thomas W. (Jean) Jones of Dallas, Texas; and three grandchildren, Richard W. Jones, Matthew W. Jones, and Celina Anne Jones. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Columbia Lions Club, elders and deacons of West Seventh Street Church of Christ.
