MRS. W. A. DERRYBERRY Mrs. Lucille Adams Derryberry, 90, widow of W. A. "Slim" Derryberry and resident of Mapleash Avenue, died Thursday, November 27, 2003 at NHC of Columbia. Funeral services were conducted Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Ezell Rose and Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial was in the Rose Hill Cemetery. A native of Madison County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Martha King Adams and a member of the Riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Dean (Sandra) Shelton of Columbia; a brother, Leo Adams of Columbia; four grandchildren, Krystal (David) Adkison, Robin (Royal) Dickson, Romny (Mike) Thompson, Ryan Derryberry; two great-grandchildren, Alia Kaye Adkison and Breanna Deneen Dickson; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronnie Derryberry. Active pallbearers were Bill Shelton, Jerry Norman, Kirby Howell, Tony Scott, H. C. Stewart, Jr., Edward Lewis Adams, Royal Dickson, Jr., David Adkison, Ryan Derryberry, Mike Thompson, Jim Aslinger, Buford Moss and Ray Adams. Men of the Riverview Baptist Church served as honorary pallbearers.
