Lucille Brady Fly

Mrs. Willie Lucille Brady Fly, 85, resident of Columbia Health Care and former resident of Theta Pike, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Fly Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Claude Brady and Viola Potts Brady. She was married to John H. Fly who preceded her in death January 5, 1959. Mrs. Fly was a homemaker and member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Sue Cooper of Columbia; son, John H. (Elaine) Fly, Jr. of Columbia; four sisters, Dorothy Himes of Nashville, Ethel Peden of Pulaski, Helen Pettus of Columbia, Edna (Billy) West of Sparta; one brother, J.W. Brady of Mt. Pleasant; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren including Brittney Rodriguez, Corey Rodriguez and Casey Rodriguez all of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred Louis Fly and Mary Lee Fly; one son, James E. Fly; one sister, Betty Lou Estes; six brothers, Norman Brady, Mike R. Brady, Mitchell Brady, Raymond Brady, Wayne Brady, James Roberts Brady; and one granddaughter, Tracy Dawn Rodriguez. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
