Lynn was born July 14, 1946 in Maury County and was the much loved daughter of the late Floyd and Nell McKee, both of Maury County. Survivors include her husband of over 50 years, Ronnie Erwin, niece, Bethany (Christopher) Owen of Duluth Minnesota, aunts, Jean McKee, Mary Margaret Erwin Lovell and numerous cousins. Lynn attended Riverside Elementary School, Whitthorne Middle School and graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1964. She loved her time in school and her friends throughout all of her school years. During her high school years she was active as a member of the Junior Classical League, Y-Teens, a Cheerleader, a Homecoming Attendant, a member of the Student Council, a Tennessee Girls’ State Representative, Secretary of the Student Body and Student Council, Guidance Department Secretary and the Senior Superlative- “Miss Personality”. Lynn attended and graduated with an Associate of Arts Degree from Martin Methodist College in Pulaski and later received a Bachelor of Science degree from Middle Tennessee State University in Murfreesboro in 1968. Upon graduation, she began her career as a kindergarten and elementary school teacher. Following graduation, Lynn married the love of her life which would blossom and bloom for over 50 years. Early on, she earned another degree, The Good Wife Diploma, also known as the “Putting Hubby Through” Degree. She worked diligently and without hesitation to help her partner-for-life obtain his college degrees. Throughout these wonderful years, she totally supported him as they made their way down their career paths. Lynn was never hesitant to provide encouragement and behind the scene guidance as they went on what she would call “a glorious balloon ride”. Throughout these wonderful years, her faith in God never wavered, it only grew stronger. She continually provided agape love to all that she met. Even during these later years, with her failing health, she was always a ray of JOY to those she came in contact with. Pallbearers: Steve Bostelman, Dean Erwin, David Taylor, Robert Thompson, Wayne Troope, and Richard Williams and Honorary pallbearers: West End Baptist Church Joy’s Sunday School Class and the Class of 1964 of Columbia Central High School.
