View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Mable Claire Weatherford Callahan, 93, resident of Rabbit Trail Road in the Lynnville Community, died Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at Life Care Center of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Leon Reed and Rev. Greg McCoy officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The family suggests memorials to Lynnville Baptist Church, P.O. Box 192, Lynnville, Tennessee 38472. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Felix Weatherford and Mamie Wiley Weatherford. On February 15, 1941 she married R.S. "Bud" Callahan who preceded her in death February 21, 1993. Mrs. Callahan had been active in mission work with Friendship Baptist Church and was longtime pianist at Lynnville Baptist Church. She was active in the Maury Regional Auxiliary where she was a Superstar. Survivors include her daughters, Bonnie (Jim) VanBibber of Columbia, Brenda Callahan of Culleoka; son, Richard (Linda) Callahan of Culleoka; grandchildren, Bart (Candice) VanBibber, Grant (Tasha) VanBibber, Andy (Beth) Norwood, Susan Norwood, Steven (Niki) Callahan, Ryan (Melissa Anderson) Callahan; and great-grandchildren, Anderson VanBibber, Nora Claire VanBibber, Garrett VanBibber, Coleman Norwood and Raleigh Callahan. Her grandsons and great-grandsons will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Priscilla Potts, Helen Green, Ritchie and Kaye Sands, Don and Yvonne Steele and members of Lynnville Baptist Church.
