Mrs. Mable Landers Park, 86, resident of Honeysuckle Drive in Hendersonville, died Thursday, February 10, 2005, at Centennial Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Frank Chumley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Mount Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 1:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Marshall County native was the daughter of the late Finis Mark Landers and Kate Baxter Landers. She spent most of her life in the Fountain Heights Community and was a 1936 graduate of Columbia Central High School. She was married to Henry M. Park who preceded her in death in 1989. Mrs. Park retired from Metro Water & Sewer Department in 1986 and had previously worked at the Tennessee Farm Bureau and Commerce Union Bank.She was a member of Kemper Heights Church of Christ in Madison. Survivors include four sons, Wayne Park of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Theron "Bud" Park and his wife, Carol of Hendersonville; Steve Park and his wife, Sherry of Lake Wylie, South Carolina; David Park and his wife, Kim of Lewisburg; one daughter, Jayne Davis of Springfield; one brother, Finis M. Landers, Jr. of Columbia; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Wayne Park, Theron Park, Steve Park, David Park, Trent Park, and Kevin Brown.
