View Funeral WebcastMrs. Mae Thomas Hardison Liggett, 93, longtime resident of the Leftwich Bridge Community, died Wednesday, February 25, 2009 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Calvin Hardison and Jack White officiating. Burial will be in Morton Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. On April 7, 1932, she married A. D. Liggett, Jr. who preceded her in death on December 29, 2002. She was a member of Antioch Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Nancy (Hershel) Davis of Lewisburg; Barbara (Charles) Stofel of Columbia; six grandchildren, Stephen (Barbara) Davis of Murfreesboro; Scott (Lea) Davis of Knoxville; Stanley Davis and Sheldon (Pam) Davis, both of Lewisburg; John (Betsy) Stofel and George (Shannon) Stofel, both of Columbia; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Brownie Turman; and three brothers, Hubert Allen 'Bit ' Hardison, Hazel Hardison, and Eugene Hardison. Pallbearers will be Stephen Davis, Scott Davis, Stanley Davis, Sheldon Davis, John Stofel, and George Stofel.
