Maggie Helen Hayes Sims

Maggie Helen Hayes Sims, 91, retired employee of Dixie Manufacturing and resident of South High Street, died Sunday, November 19, 2017, at NHC Columbia. A graveside service will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Buddy Hayes officiating. The family suggests memorials to Harvest Share Program, 419 West Ninth Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Born May 28, 1926 in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Huey Hayes and the late Maggie Thurman Hayes. She was married to Odie Sims, Jr. who preceded her in death July 9, 1990. Mrs. Sims cherished time spent with her family. She was a member of Knob Creek Home Demonstration Club and Cross Bridges Baptist Church. Survivors include her son, Anthony (Cindy) Sims of Culleoka; grandchildren, Kasi Sims, Tiffany Sims, Tommy Sims, Logan Sims, Sara Sims, Katie Sims; and several nieces and nephews.
