Malcolm Curtis Anderson, 81, died Friday, May 27, 2016 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 3:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Elsey officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Saturday at 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. and Sunday from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Bailey Anderson, Sr. and Mattie Park Hayes Anderson and was a member of Central High School Class of 1953. He served in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. On June 14, 1981 he married Judy Ann Peery Anderson of Columbia who survives. Mr. Anderson retired from Heil-Quaker Heating and Cooling in Lewisburg in 1999. Previously, he had been employed by Consolidated Aluminum, Pulaski Highway Express, Anderson & Neal and Columbia Carbon Plant. In his free time, he enjoyed yard work. In addition to his wife, he is survived by brother, Thomas Bailey Anderson, Jr. of Columbia; sister, Louise Anderson Uzzell of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings, Clara Mai Erwin, Pauline Anderson, John Beecher Anderson, Thomas Vaden Anderson, William Morgan Anderson, Lewis Anderson, and Paul Anderson. Active pallbearers will be Tommy Anderson, Luke Anderson, Ray Anderson, Randell Anderson, Teddy Anderson, Johnny Woodside, Herbert Robertson, Calvin Sharp, and Clyde Crutcher. The family expresses a special thanks to Dr. Cummins Couch and his nurse practitioner, Karen Perry, and the staff of NHC Hillview.
