Mamie O Adams

Mrs. Mamie O. Inman Attkisson Adams, 94, longtime resident of West Tenth Street, died Monday, March 10, 2003, at NHC of Columbia. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. V. J. Crumley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Henry Clint Inman and Mary Etta Rosson Clifton Inman. She was first married to Cleve M. Attkisson and later married Fred G. Adams who died in 1964. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Charlotte Fay (Billy Ray) Davidson of Columbia; two grandchildren, Wendell D. (Sherry) Davidson of Spring Hill; Dana K. Davidson of Columbia; two great grandchildren, Christi A. Davidson of Columbia; Robyn Glasgow Finney of Gallatin; several nieces and nephews including Evelyn Kilcrease of Crestview, Florida, and Larry Walls of Wales, TN. Pallbearers will be her nephews.
