Marcelle Webb Mash, 94, homemaker and resident of Greenfield Bend Road, died Friday, October 19, 2018 at NHC Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Phil Mash officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 11:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 22, 1924 in Hickman County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Fly and the late Eunice Webb Fly. She was a graduate of Hickman County High School. During World War II, she worked in an airplane factory in Wyandotte, Michigan. Later returned home to be married in 1947 to James Raymond Mash who preceded her in death July 2, 1987. For 59 years, Mrs. Mash was a member of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, raising flowers, and being a member of the Hickman County Home Demonstration Club. Survivors include her daughter, Myra Rooker (Kevin Wilson) of Nashville; sons, Ronnie Mash (Sue Bridges) of Williamsport; James D. Mash of Columbia; eight grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Shelton Fly; Ward Fly; and sister, Ernestine Greenfield. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Rooker, Justin Mash, Phil Mash, Jimmy Mash, Michael Mash, and Justin Church. Honorary pallbearers include Mrs. Edith Delk, Mrs. Barbara Dycus, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Bell, Mr. & Mrs David Gordon, Mr. & Mrs. Tony Sowell, Mrs. Carla Morrow, Mr. & Mrs. Snooks Kelley, Mr. & Mrs. Jim McEwen, and members of Greenfield Bend Church of Christ.
