Margaret Leona Harris

Margaret Leona Harris, 74, employee of American Bank of Texas and resident of Hampshire Pike, died Saturday, February 1, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 12:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born August 7, 1945 in Maury County, she was the daughter of the late James Lee Harris, Jr. and the late Pellie Mai Erwin Harris. Mrs. Harris enjoyed spending time with her family, working in her flower garden, and decorating. Survivors include her son, David (Lori) Evans of Columbia; daughter, Rachel (Angus) Evans of Denison, Texas; grandchildren, Salina Evans of Columbia; Michaila Evans of Cookeville; Raven Evans of Columbia; Noah Evans of Denison, Texas; Avonlea Evans of Denison, Texas; brothers, Buddy (Carolyn) Harris of Columbia; Bobby Harris of Columbia; Clyde Edward (Linda) Harris of Culleoka; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Sue Bowen; and brother, Andy Harris. Family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
