Mrs. Margaret Wiley May, 83, former co-owner of R.C. May Jewelers and resident of Carol Drive, died Tuesday, October 5, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Thursday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wayne Hardison and Bill Tankersley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Mission Fund of Northview Church of Christ, 865 Nashville Highway, Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late D.B. Wiley and Maude Dycus Wiley. On October 12, 1946 she married R.C. May who preceded her in death June 27, 1998. Mrs. May was a graduate of Hampshire High School and a member of Northview Church of Christ. Survivors include two sons, Carl W. (Wanda) May and Al May both of Columbia; five grandchildren; David Monteith (Crystal) May of Culleoka, Carla Elizabeth May, Michael Benjamin May, Stacey Rene May and Allison Kaye May all of Columbia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Sue May and Mrs. Alethea Delk. Pallbearers will be David May, Michael May, Walter Dycus, Doug Taylor, Doug Balthaser and John Rogers. Honorary pallbearers will be John Price, Bill Johnston, Jimmy Shelton and Elders and Deacons of Northview Church of Christ.
