Mrs. Margie Marie Rochelle Gilliam, 60, seamstress for River Valley Mills and former long-time resident of Miller Lake Road, died Saturday, March 17, 2007 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Dewain Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Albert Owen "Pete" Rochelle and Nancy Bates Rochelle Irby. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Rita (Jerry) Brunson of Southport, Melody Gilliam of Santa Fe, and Lanette Gilliam of Southport; two sons, John E. (Brandy) Gilliam of Southport and Chad A. Gilliam of Columbia; four sisters, Betty (Carl Tidwell) Rochelle and Jean (Virgil) Nolen, both of Lyles, Cathy (Junior) Edwards of Dickson, and Vickie (Alan) Gunter of Rock Island; four grandchildren, Desiree Estes, Ashleigh Gilliam, Tristan Bergman, and Amber Gilliam. She was also loved by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, other family and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Ray Rochelle. Active pallbearers are Ed McHenry, Joey Fuller, Bobby Easley, Dan Nolen, Dalyn Brady, J. C. Williams, Carl Tidwell, and Steven Edwards. Honorary pallbearers include Dr. Angela Joynes and the staff of NHC Hillview.
