Mrs. Marguerite White Davis, 83, retired seamstress and former employee of Publix Shirt Company and long-time resident of East Cheairs Circle, died Friday, October 8, 2004 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Eddie Rogers officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Clifton W. White and Emma Skelly White. She attended Maury County schools and was a member of the Northview Church of Christ. She was married June 22, 1942 to Louie Thomas Davis who preceded her in death September 18, 1950. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn (David) Arms and Linda (George W.) Pogue, both of Columbia; a brother, Hershel "Hut" White of Hendersonville; a sister, Rachel Johnson of Moody, Alabama; four grandchildren, Christopher (Debbie) Pogue, Hayley Pogue, Melanie (Charlie) Fox and Rene'e (Dan) Burt; six great-grandchildren, Jonathan Pogue, Jessica Pogue,Matthew Fox, Shelby Fox, Bryant Burt and Ethan Burt; several nieces and nephews. Active pallbearers are Bobby White, Roger Dale White, Jerry White, Larry White, Teddy White, Matt Thompson, Buddy Huckaby and Pete Nicholson. Honorary pallbearers include Howard White, Roy White, Ronnie White, Pete Harlan, Virgil Priest, Mike Lynch, Lloyd Huckaby, Jr., Milton White, J. W. Randolph, Aubrey Davis and Rayburn Davis.
