Mrs. Constance Marie Guschke Baletti, 64, died Sunday May 3, 2009 at her residence in San Antonio, Texas following a long struggle with ALS and ovarian cancer.A celebration of her life will be held at a later date at the home of her sister, Margaret Guschke Masimore in Brentwood. Guschke and Constance "Connie" Beasley Guschke.She was a 1963 graduate of Columbia Central High School where she enjoyed participating in the band. She graduated from Nashville General School of Nursing in 1966 and worked at Maury County Hospital for one year before joining the Air Force and working as a nurse at Barksdale Air Force Base in Shreveport, Louisiana from 1967 - 1969. Mrs. Baletti retired from the Nashville VA Hospital in 2000 and moved with her husband to San Antonio, Texas in 2001 to be near her daughter and her family.Survivors include her husband, Thomas "Tom" P. Baletti of San Antonio, TX; one daughter, Dawn Marie (Wayne) Martin of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, Travis Martin, Grant Martin, Amber Martin; one brother, Tom (Mary Ann Lockridge) Guschke; two sisters, Margaret (Leigh) Masimore, Jean (Van) Sumner; three nieces, Gretchen Guschke, Vanessa Sumner, Krista Sumner; and two nephews, Matthew Horsnell and Alan Horsnell.
