MRS. MARIE OWEN Mrs. Marie Elizabeth Bentz Haberthear Owen, 81, retired employee at Publix Shirt Factory and resident of Caldwell Drive, died Thursday, May 8, 2003, at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Richard Jones officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Arthritis Foundation. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Otto August Bentz and Florence Bryan Bentz. She was first married to Harry William Haberthear who died October 23, 1957 and later married Woodrow Wilson Owen who also preceded her in death on May 31, 1972. She was a member of Riverview Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Harry (Claudia) Haberthear of Hendersonville; one brother, Jack (Janet) Bentz of Florida; two sisters, Mary (Paul) Haas and Bernice (Bobby)Lee, both of Louisville, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Roxanna (Dale) Felts of Nashville; Samantha (Billy) Padilla of Hendersonville; five great grandchildren, Natasha (Jason) Heath, Sabrina Cooper, Victoria Grace Padilla, and Lillian Faith Padilla, all of Hendersonville; Trista Cooper of Nashville; and one great great grandson, Jacob Heath of Hendersonville. Pallbearers will be Dale Felts, Billy Padilla, Jason Heath, Garland Wherry, and Tim Cooper
