Marie McCrary Ketchum Tomlinson, 91, retired seamstress and former resident of Wheeler Drive in Columbia, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Swango officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Born August 1, 1924 in Winston County, Alabama, she was the daughter of the late Andrew McCrary and the late Victoria Cagle McCrary. On March 23, 1962, she married Paul H. Tomlinson who preceded her in death May 22, 2007. While living in Columbia, Mrs. Tomlinson had worked at Weather Tamer, Dixie Manufacturing and Sweet Shop Bakery. She was a member of Loyal Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include her daughter, Paula (Mark) Markham of Knoxville; son, Larry (Debbie) Ketchum of Pelham, Alabama; step-sons, Wayne (Carol) Tomlinson of Columbia; James (Sara) Tomlinson of Baker, Louisiana; daughter of her heart whom she helped rear, Rosemary O'quinn; brother, Sherman McCrary of Hampshire; sister, Gladys Simmons of Columbia; grandchildren, Hunter Caudle, Collin Caudle, Brent Markham, Steven Markham, Tracy Ketchum, Kim Ketchum, Travis Ketchum, Lori Brumfield, Kim Speed, Keith Tomlinson, Chris Tomlinson, John Tomlinson, Patrick Tomlinson, Amanda Collins, Angela Potts, Byron Tomlinson, Mike Tomlinson, Christie Tomlinson; several great grandchildren; many great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter, Doris Ketchum; son, Neal Ketchum; granddaughter, Cindy Ketchum Brooks; and sisters, Evalena Hay and Audrey Scott. Pallbearers will be Hunter Caudle, Collin Caudle, Brent Markham, Steven m\Markham, Travis Ketchum, Aaron Ketchum, Joe Caudle, Wayne Romesburg, and Dewayne O'quinn.
