Marion Walker Puckett

Mrs. Marion Walker Puckett, 84, retired administrative assistant for Peabody College at Vanderbilt University and former resident of Nashville, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at NHC Columbia. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 1:00 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Jeremy Butt officiating. Friends will gather from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Moody Puckett and Patty Russell Walker Puckett. She was a 1941 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of the Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Puckett was an avid bridge player. Survivors include a brother, Ray (Betty) Puckett of Columbia; nephew, Danny Puckett of Columbia; great-niece, Heather (Rob) Latimer; great-nephews, Jason Puckett; great-great-niece, Brooklyn Latimer; several cousins. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers including Jason Puckett, Rob Latimer, and Ralph Nichols.
