Marjorie Helen Wrye, 84, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 12, 2023 at her residence in Columbia, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, May 16, 2023, from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia, Tennessee. Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 12:00 P.M. at Spring Hill Funeral Home in Madison, Tennessee. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery in Madison, Tennessee. The family will visit with friends from 11:00 A.M. until service time at Spring Hill Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials to AGAPE or Disaster Relief. Born April 28, 1939, in Nashville, Tennessee she was the daughter of the late Houston Wrye and the late Mary Helen Wells Wrye. She was a graduate of Cohn High School in Nashville. Ms. Wrye retired from South Central Bell having worked in Nashville, Dickson, New York, and Birmingham, Alabama. She loved her family and playing the organ. Ms. Wrye was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her sister, Carol (Jimmy) Fann of Columbia; nieces, Jennifer Fleming of Columbia; Laurie (Mike) Sullivan of Nashville; Karyn (Jim) Parks of Mt. Juliet; nephews, Dr. Brian (Mitzi) Fann of Columbia; Paul (Summer) Fann of Columbia; Jeff (Sandi) Wrye of Tell City, Indiana; Mike (Kathy) Wrye of Spring Hill; sister-in-law, Sue Wrye of Nashville; and several great nieces and great nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Don Wrye. Active pallbearers will be Paul Fann, Dr. Brian Fann, Mike Wrye, Jeff Wrye, Andrew Fleming, Mike Sullivan, Larry Wells, and Randy Fleming. Honorary pallbearers include Maggie and John Kosinaki.
