Mrs. Marjorie Jackson Potts, 83, widow of Haston Potts and retired inspector for Dixie Manufacturing Company and Weather Tamer, died Saturday at her residence on James Jenkins Road. Graveside services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at Potts Family Cemetery in the Theta Community with Ricky Clay officiating. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Willoughby Jackson and Willie Mae McBride Jackson. Survivors include a son, Ronnie (Angie) Potts of Theta; seven grandchildren, Kelly Potts Estes , Desiree Potts, MacKenzie Potts, Brandon Potts, Eric Potts, Chris Potts, and Ashley Gregory; five great-grandchildren, Ayden Estes, Haston Hill, Skyler McCormick, Damien Potts, and Lucas Potts; a brother, Donald Jackson of Florida. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Kay Potts February 3, 2005. Pallbearers are David Quirk, Mark Helton, Adrian Lindsey, Michael Hughes, Tony Estes, and James Mercado.
