Maricus Clyde Hay Maricus "Mark" Clyde Hay, 76, retired employee of AVCO in Nashville, died Thursday, May 20, 2004, at his residence on Chestnut Ridge Road in the Santa Fe Community. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother David Homan and Roger Ragsdale officiating. Burial will be in Adkisson Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The Maury County native was the son of the late Hensley Petway Hay and Gertie Beard Hay. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. An avid collector, Mr. Hay enjoyed flea markets. He also enjoyed his grandchildren. He attended Johnson Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Martha Johnson Hay of Santa Fe; two daughters, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Donnie) Spires of Santa Fe; Marcia (Danny) Cummins of Lynnville; one sister, Shirley (Eddie) Kelley of Columbia; five brothers, Leslie Hay of Little Lot; Tom (Lois) Hay of Santa Fe; Clifton (Martha) Hay of Nashville; J. W. (Betty) Hay and Milton (Glenda) Hay, both of Columbia; six grandchildren, Jay Andrews of Columbia; Jessica Andrews and Montanna Rose Cummins, both of Lynnville; Matthew Spires of Santa Fe; Daniel (Misty) Cummins of Lynnville; Chad Cummins of Dallas, Texas; two great grandchildren, Wyatt Cummins and Carrigan Cummins, both of Lynnville; and several nieces and nephews, including special nephew, Ryan Kelley, whom he loved as his grandson. Pallbearers will be Matthew Spires, Jay Andrews, Ryan Kelley, Randy Gardner, Paul Carpenter, Kenny Hay, Donnie Huddleston, and Mickey Hay. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Primm, Ronnie Sheeter, Paul Watson, Rick Smith, Don Stevens, Miles Johnson, Claude Johnson, Karl Johnson, Buck Atkisson, Curtis Davis, Robert Carl Harbison, Wesley Hay, Vernon Day, Tommy Beard, Clayton Hutcherson, David Beard, Charles Hay, and men of Johnson Chapel Baptist Church.
