Mr. Mark Edward Mangrum, 50, former employee of Mealer Trucking Company, went home to be with his Lord on Friday, August 17, 2007 at his residence on Park Plus Court. Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M and Sunday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late James Mangrum and Virginia Harden Mangrum. He was an avid golfer, softball player and coach. He attended Mooresville Pike Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Joshua Mangrum of Columbia; two daughters, Christy Kelley and Shannon Mangrum, both of Columbia; two brothers, Bobby Mangrum and Steve (Amy) Mangrum, Jr., both of Columbia; two sisters, Fay (Harold) Haywood of Columbia; Jamie (Tim) Bailey of Culleoka; four grandchildren, Jordan Kelley, Bailey Kelley, Hannah Weldon, Tanner Wray; several nieces and nephews including special nephew Allen Harris; and special friend, June Love. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Jimmy Mangrum, Steve Mangrum, Sr., and Van Mangrum. Active pallbearers will be Gordon Thomas, Bradley Thomas, D. J. Scroggins, Dennis Scroggins, Jason Spencer, Allen Harris, Jimmy Mooningham, and Marion Hill. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert Mangalardi and the staff of Centennial Medical Center.
