Mark Franklin Renfro

Mark Franklin Renfro, 56, resident of Haven Circle, died Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Chip Hunter officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 1:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Born October 2, 1960 in Davidson County, Tennessee, he was the son of Pauline Brookshire Renfro and the late Frank Whitson Renfro. He was a 1979 graduate of Columbia Central High School and attended Middle Tennessee State University. He worked in law enforcement after college before working as a purchaser for Nashville Wire Products for 16 years. Several years ago, Mr. Renfro enjoyed playing baseball, golf, fishing, and hunting. He was a member of Central Christian Church. In addition to his mother, Pauline Brookshire Renfro of Columbia, survivors include his special cousin, Patricia Dodson and numerous other cousins. Active pallbearers will be Mike Parris, Danny Lea, Joe Newton, Greg Daimwood, Charles Robinson, Ray Russek, and Homer Martin.
