Marlin Herschell Brown, 82, former owner/operator of Brown's Auto and resident of Elm Street in Madison, died Sunday, January 1, 2017 at Skyline Medical Center.A Celebration of Life will be conducted Saturday, January 14, 2017 at Oak Hill Assembly in Nashville at 11:00 A.M. with Timothy Brown, Jr. officiating. The Maury County native was the son of the late David Marlin Brown and Nonie Roberson Brown. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, frog gigging, and working on cars. He loved spending time with his family and his dog, Half-Pint. Survivors include his son, Timothy (Trina) Brown, Sr. of Antioch; daughter, Lynne (Tim) Jones of Dickson; grandchildren, Timothy (Tiffany) Brown, Jr., Todd (Kelsey) Brown, Travis (Brittney Garcia) Brown, Tiffany Prutianov, Thomas (Hannah) Brown, Tammy (Aaron) Thatcher, Christie (Tim) Gilliam, Amy Briggs, Timmy Jones, and Matt Jones; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Cole) Leonard; mother of his children, Juanita Alred Denham; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, David Marlin Brown and Nonie Roberson, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia Brown; son, David Brown; sister, Barbara Sparks; brothers, Wayne Brown and Jimmy Ray Brown; and great grandchild, Aiden Brown.
