Martha Ellen Duncan

Mrs. Martha Ellen McGregor Duncan, 65, died Monday, February 13, 2006 at her residence on Old Hillsboro Road in Franklin. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Donna Higginbotham officiating. Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. at Williamsport Methodist Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Rob Roy McGregor and Ruby Rather McGregor. She was reared by her aunt and uncle, the late Fred and Mildred Rather Hendricks. Mrs. Duncan was a 1958 graduate of Central High School. On October 31, 1965 she married Don Duncan who survives her. She was a member of Bethlehem Methodist Church in Franklin. In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Greg Duncan of Springfield; two granddaughters, Nicole Duncan and Sara Duncan both of Springfield; mother-in-law, Lila Cude Duncan of Columbia; brother-in-law, Bob (Dorothy) Duncan of Columbia; sister-in-law, Martha Duncan of Nashville; and two nephews, Sam Duncan and David Duncan both of Columbia. Pallbearers will be A.D. Lock, Nick Perez, John Kinnie, Sam Duncan, David Duncan, Kip Reel.
