Martha Evans Hill Morgan, 96, homemaker and resident of Hardin Drive, passed from this life to glory with her Lord on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 4:00 P.M. at Zion Presbyterian Church with Reverend Paul Joiner and Reverend Kevin Twit officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Churchyard. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Wednesday from 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the church. Hill and the late Sara McQuigg Hill. On November 12, 1947, she married Jack P. Morgan who preceded her in death June 30, 1998. She was a graduate of Culleoka High School and attended Columbia Business College. Martha was an avid artist and an author. She loved water color and hand painting ceramic tiles. Her handiwork graces many homes today. She was the first charter member of the Maury County Arts Guild. Mrs. Morgan enjoyed playing the piano and spending time with her family. She taught most of her children and grandchildren how to play "Tis so Sweet to Trust in Jesus" on the piano. That was her legacy, her trust in Jesus. Survivors include her children, Lynn (Don) Steinfeldt; Bob (Elizabeth) Morgan; Jack P. Morgan, Jr.; grandchildren, Rachel Chavez; Wendy (Kevin) Twit; Jessica (John) Moser; Bobby (Sonja) Morgan; Rebecca Lamar; Amanda (Wesley) Farmer; Amber (Ryan) Marx; Katie Morgan; Michelle (C.J) Hill; and Shannon Steinfeldt; and great grandchildren, Kenneth Beaver; Blain Farmer; Copper Twit; Cade Morgan; Isaac Twit; Jackson Moser; Katherine Farmer; Grant Morgan; Amelia Twit; Luke Farmer; Rhett Morgan; Carter Hill; Elaina Morgan; Grayson Hill; and Thomas Marx.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Matthew Hill; and siblings, Velma Love, Mary Pearson, Lonnie Hill, Alberta Hill, Sadie Hobbs, Hardin Hill, Jenny Cheatham, and Frankie Kannon.Active pallbearers will be John Moser, Wesley Farmer, Don Steinfeldt, Ryan Marx, Sonny Hobbs, and Roger Womble.
