Martha Redding, 56, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at her residence near Culleoka, Tennessee.A memorial service will be conducted Wednesday, February 21 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Columbia, Tennessee. Visitation will be in the church Parrish Hall from 12:00 P.M. - 1:30 P.M. The Episcopal Rite of the Burial of the Dead with Holy Eucharist will be officiated by The Reverend Chris Bowhay at 2:00 P.M. Burial will follow at St. John's Churchyard. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born January 19, 1962, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Harry Clay Helm and the late Jean Ewing Helm. She was a graduate of Columbia Military Academy, Columbia State Community College, and Middle Tennessee State University. She was a Certified Public Accountant. Martha is survived by her husband of 33 years, Mike Redding; step-mother, Marie Gipe Helm of Alexandria, Louisiana; mother and father-in-law, Alice and Gary Redding of Culleoka; sister, Ann Towler (Virginia) of Novato, California; brothers, John Helm (Gail) of Holland, Michigan; Clay Helm (Wilma) of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; several nieces and nephews; and lifelong friend, Ruth Marie Stack.The family suggests memorials be made to the Maury County Animal Shelter, 1233 Mapleash Avenue, Columbia, TN 38401.
