Martha Lorene Johnson Williams

Mrs. Martha Lorene Johnson Williams, 85, resident of Sowell Mill Pike, died Monday, April 21, 2003 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Dr. Dwain Brown officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Building Fund. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late James Oscar Johnson and Sally Ann Foster Johnson. She was married for sixty two years to Coleman Williams, Sr. who preceded her in death June 22, 2000. She was a graduate of Santa Fe High School and a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jerry Coleman (Glenda) Williams, Jr. of Columbia; three grandchildren, Debbie Love, Davin Bell, Jerico Williams all of Columbia; two great-grandchildren, Derek Jones, Tabitha Love both of Columbia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Geraldine "Gerry" Bell, eight brothers and three sisters. Pallbearers will be Sam Andrews, Billy Andrews, Arthur Wentzel, Sam Wrather, Eddie Vaughn and Kenny Riddle. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
