Mrs. Martha Evelyn Cammuse Winchester, 86, retired seamstress and resident of Maury Hill Street in Spring Hill, died Friday, December 3, 2004, at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Spring Hill United Methodist Church with Rev. John Andrew Mayton and John D. Ring officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and after 1:30 P.M. Sunday at the church. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Emmett Lee Cammuse and Lenora Harmon Cammuse. She was married to William Alex Winchester who preceded her in death on June 3, 1977. Mrs. Winchester was a homemaker and had worked part time for several years at Early's Honey Stand. She was a member of Spring Hill United Methodist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Janice (John D.) Ring of Franklin; two grandsons, Troy D. (Marcia) Ring of Gallatin; Tyler L. (Wendy) Ring of Franklin; and five great grandchildren, Wesley D. Ring, Shelby F. Ring, and Daniel S. Ring, all of Gallatin; Hope L. Ring and Hailey G. Ring, both of Franklin. She was preceded in death by a son, William Alex "Billy" Winchester, Jr.; two sisters, Lorene Pitts and Christine Reese; and one brother, Junior Cammuse. Pallbearers will be Troy D. Ring, Tyler L. Ring, Wesley D. Ring, John D. Ring, Don Lunn, and James Winchester. Honorary pallbearers will be members of Spring Hill United Methodist Church.
