Martin Doyle McKee

Martin Doyle McKee, 72, employee of TDOT and resident of Columbia, died Thursday, August 24, 2023 at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Neil Spence officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 7, 1950, in Sullivan County, he was the son of the late Samuel Edward McKee and the late Elaine Martin McKee. An avid football fan, Mr. McKee coached Spring Hill Middle School football team and loved Tennessee Vols Football. He enjoyed playing the drums and most of all spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife, Dana McKee; son, Martin Doyle “D.J.” McKee, daughter, Jennifer Lee (Jeremiah) Johnson; step-son, Michael Wayne (Ami) Milligan; and seven grandchildren. Active pallbearers will be family, friends, and coaches of Spring Hill Middle School Football. Honorary pallbearers include Spring Middle School football team.
