Mary Frances Wade Ballard

Mrs. Mary Frances Wade Ballard, 86, resident of Poplar Estates and former long-time resident of Morris Avenue, died Monday, April 23, 2007 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with John Vaughan officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Jess Wade and Virgie Byers Wade. She was a member of Graymere Church of Christ and Poplar Estates Red Hat Society. Her husband, Lawrence Rhea Ballard, died June 22, 1993. Survivors include a daughter, Elaine (Charles) Stoops of Temple, Georgia; a son, David Rhea Ballard of Spring Hill; a brother, George (Betty) Wade of Nashville; five grandchildren, Bryan (Dana) Ballard, Stephanie (Paul) Zimmerman, both of Spring Hill, Peter Ballard, Cayce (Mark) King, and Kelly (Chris) Ward, all of Columbia; nine great-grandchildren; five nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Bryan Ballard, Peter Ballard, Paul Zimmerman, Taylor Edwards, Chris Ward, Mark King.
