Mary White Fox Brown Clark Mrs. Mary White Fox Brown Clark, 72, former owner-operator of Fox's Grocery in the Neapolis Community and retired librarian at Spring Hill Library, died Friday, November 28, 2003 at the home of her daughter. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Hank Shelton officiating. Burial will be in the Williamson Memorial Gardens in Franklin. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Mitchell White and Beadie McCord White and was a member of the Neapolis United Methodist Church. She was first married to George Fox who died February 25, 1986. She later married Hugh Brown who died July 24, 1992. Survivors include her husband, George Clark of Lobelville; three daughters, Jean (Danny) Cathey of Kedron, Gail (Matt) Adkins of Albuquerque, New Mexico; Gay Erwin of Neapolis; a son, Randy (Trudy) Fox of Columbia; a sister, Wilma (J.B.) Fitzgerald of Water Valley; a brother, Clifton White of Water Valley; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew She was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest White. Pallbearers are J. T. Wright, Billy Erwin, Josh Erwin, Marty Erwin, Jeff Cathey, Darren Fox, Bobby Phelps and Jimmy Elliott.
