Mrs. Mary Frances Elliott Loftin, 93, resident of West 17th Street, died Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Vann and Rev. James Gardner officiating. Burial will be in Loftin Cemetery. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Robert Wilson Elliott and Katie Bell Wright Elliott. On August 12, 1928 she married Clarence "Jammer" Loftin who preceded her in death May 25, 1983. Mrs. Loftin was a homemaker and member of Craft Memorial United Methodist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Sue Johnson of Columbia; a son, Bobby (Gilma) Loftin of Hampshire; brother, Hillard (Virginia) Elliott of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Mary Frances McMeen Loftin of Columbia; nine grandchildren, Linda Loftin, Misty Loftin, Cherry Bullion all of Columbia, Lisa Loftin, Patsy (Bob) Pointer both of Knoxville, Robert Loftin stationed in Korea, Joseph Loftin of Dickson, Debbie Adcock of College Grove, Melanie Adcock of Leipers Fork; five great-grandchildren, Angie (Johnathan) Jeffers, Brian (Hope) Crownover both of College Grove, Ronni Crownover of Franklin, Bob Adcock of Nashville, Jacob Pointer of Knoxville; and six great-grandchildren, Hunter Johnson, Drew Jeffers, Taylor Crownover, Haley Crownover, Christian Crownover all of College Grove and Erica Kennedy of Franklin. She was preceded in death by a son, James "Jim" Wilson Loftin in 1992, a grandson, Jerry Freeman "Tony" Johnson, Jr. in 1996, five brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Steve Capps, Don Zimmerman, Brian Crownover, Bob Adcock, Johnathan Jeffers and Bob Painter. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Underwood, Dr. Thomas Dake and Dr. Cummings Couch.
