View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Mary Louise “Weese” Burton Whitehouse, 68, longtime resident of Rayburn Avenue, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 at her residence. Funeral Services for Mrs. Whitehouse will be conducted Monday at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Points and Richard Burton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday at 11:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 5, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Edwin Burton and the late Bettye Jean Forrester. On March 8, 1975 she married Larry Stephen Whitehouse and they were married for 46 years. Mrs. Whitehouse was a homemaker and loved classic rock and roll music, drawing and painting. She loved beach trips, having fun and laughing. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Dawn Whitehouse and Jennifer Whitehouse of Columbia; grandchildren, Taylor DeVitt, Tristan Curry, Drake Gandee; sister, Cheryl Jean (Dennis) Seratt of Jackson; brothers, Eddie (Dorinda) Burton of Lynchburg and Ricky (Teresa) Burton of Manchester. Pallbearers will be Taylor DeVitt, Tristan Curry, David Whitehouse and Jason Curry, Caleb Burton, Jared Seratt, and Trey Burton.
