View Funeral WebcastMrs. Mary Katherine Littlejohn McCracken, 89, a long-time resident of Columbia, TN, died Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center after a short illness.She was born June 16, 1928 in Columbia, TN, the daughter of the late Herbert Baxter and Clatie Mae Johnson Littlejohn. Mrs. McCracken was a long time Bell South employee who retired in 1983 after 30 years of dedicated service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. After retirement, she enjoyed helping her family at Sarge's Shack for several years. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church in Columbia and in her spare time, she thoroughly loved a good book.Survivors include her sister, Virginia Westmoreland of Columbia; one brother, Lloyd Allen Littlejohn of Mt. Pleasant; and a sister-in-law, Arliss Littlejohn, also of Columbia. nieces: Joyce (Larry) Smith, Wanda (Jim) Reeves, Doreen (Bob) Rummell, Valerie (Jim) Bumpus, Lisa (Larry) Petty, Kim (C.L.) Sullivan, and Dana (Morris) Green. nephews: Wayne (Patty) Littlejohn, Allen Littlejohn, and Kenny (Cindy) Littlejohn along with several great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. She was loved by many including her special friends, Sissy White, Betty Holton, Pame Moore-Morrow, Sandra Wright, Debbie Turner and Shirley Kelley.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Thomas McCracken; brothers, W.C. Littlejohn, Leland Littlejohn, Hazel Littlejohn and Bobby Littlejohn; sisters-in-law, Sallie Mae Littlejohn, Doris Littlejohn, Ruth Littlejohn; brother-in-law, Earl Ray "Sarge" Westmoreland; niece, Pamela Saint; nephews, Allen Ray Littlejohn and Anthony Ray Westmoreland.Pallbearers will be Dallas Cannady, Tyler Cannady, Drew Bumpus, Ryan Hines and Dylan Green. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Evans Cannady, Jimmy Bumpus, Daniel Westmoreland, Justin Lockhart, Jimmy Reeves and the Telephone Pioneers of America.The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Dr. Ben Gardner for his care.Visitation will be at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia on Wednesday, January 24th from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, January 25th at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Dawson officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.
