Mary Crews Park

Mrs. Mary Crews Park, 92, homemaker and former resident of North Laurel Circle, died Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at Poplar Estates. A private graveside service will be conducted Saturday at Polk Memorial Gardens with Mike Kesler officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Park was a native of Lawrence County. On June 7, 1935, she married Carlton Denham Park who preceded her in death on March 14, 2005. She was a member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ, the Parks-Harris Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday School teacher. Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Park (Paul) Morrow of Benton, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Stephanie Morrow (Greg) Reynolds of Calvert City, Kentucky; John W. (LuAnn) Park of Sugarland, Texas; Melanie Park (David) Wright of Hendersonville; David (Judi) Park of Sarasota, Florida; and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John William Park and one granddaughter, Stacey Morrow Lockhart. Pallbearers will be family members. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of Poplar Estates.
