Mrs. Mary Belle Craig Perry, 93, resident of Poplar Estates, died Wednesday, September 21, 2005 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ken Willis and Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 until 8 p.m. and Saturday from 12 noon until 1 p.m. at the funeral home. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late C.D. Craig and Fannie May Allen Craig. She was a 1931 graduate of Central High School. In 1934 she married Jake Perry, a local grocery store owner for several years, who preceded her in death in 1984. She was a retired employee of C.L. Perry Plumbing Co. In 1967 she moved to Florida where she lived until 2001. While in Florida Mrs. Perry was a member of Pinellas Park Church of Christ. She was a member of the Sarah Polk Garden Club for several years and was active in the Cumberland Valley Council of Girl Scouts of America. At the time of her death she was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mary Jo (Harold) Pratt of Brentwood; one son, Robert Craig (Betty) Perry of St. Petersburg, Florida; one sister, Frances Craig of Columbia; three grandchildren, Perry Pratt, Rebecca (Michael) Gregory, Kenneth Craig Perry; four great-grandchildren, Allison Lee Pratt, Grant Gregory, Andrew Perry Pratt, Micalah Gregory; two nephews; and two nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Neely Craig. Pallbearers will be Harold Pratt, Michael Gregory, Perry Pratt, Ken Perry, Buford Gregory, Joseph Stover, John Butler, Claude Craig and Jimmy Pilkinton. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Brown, Lee Duncan, Glen Duncan, Tom Hargis, Phillip Martin, Bill Mays, Rick Woods, Dennis Folks and residents and staff of Poplar Estates.
