View Funeral WebcastMary Katherine Rochelle Pullen, 87, homemaker and resident of West 14th Street, died Monday, August 22, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Clark officiating. Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Howard P. Rochelle and the late Gladys Odom Rochelle. On January 9, 1949, she married Edgar Evan "Buddy" Pullen who preceded her in death November 24, 2001. Mrs. Pullen was a former member of Mynders Home Demonstration Club and enjoyed refinishing furniture. She babysat many of her nieces and nephews. She was a member of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her daughter, Kathy (Joel) Moen of Columbia; son, Eddie Pullen of Santa Fe, New Mexico; grandchildren, Billy (Becky) Blackburn and Matthew Moen, both of Murfreesboro; Kelley Turco of Columbia; great grandchildren, Emma Katherine Blackburn, Allison Elizabeth Blackburn, William Evan Blackburn, Michael Kelley, Gregory Kelley, Craig (Danielle) Kelley, David Turco, Jr.; great great grandson, Lincoln Kelley; sisters, Sue Reynolds of Dallas, Texas; Bonnie Bassham, Linda Grooms, Beverly (Tony) Grooms, all of Columbia; Doris (David) Broderick of Martin; Evelyn (James) Burgett of Mt. Pleasant; brothers, Bobby Rochelle and Ralph Rochelle, both of Columbia; sister-in-law, Patricia Rochelle of Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her stepmother, Ollie Belle Rochelle; sister, Sara Walker; and brothers, Ernest Rochelle and Howard Rochelle, Jr. Active pallbearers will be Michael Bassham, David Broderick, Jr., Jimmy Burgett, Keith Rochelle, Dennis Grooms, and Josh Grooms. Honorary pallbearers will include Travis Kuhns and members of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
