Mary Elizabeth Robb

Mary Elizabeth Robb, 90, retired employee of Maury Regional Hospital and Dixie Garment Factory died Friday, January 24th at her residence, Poplar Estates Senior Living Community. 

A private graveside service for Mary was conducted at Rose Hill Cemetery Monday, January 27th. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born May 21, 1934 in Spencer Hill, TN, Mary was the daughter of the late William Joseph Robb and the late Bertha Adams Robb. She grew up the youngest of five children in a farming family before moving to Columbia with her sister Viola to work in the factories. Mary enjoyed crocheting, collecting dolls and gardening. She was a member of the Graymere Church of Christ.  

She is survived by immediate family including her niece, Charlotte Brown; nephew, Tim Staggs and wife, Linda; great niece Ashley Staggs; great nephew Lucas Staggs and wife, Allison; great nephew Larry Staggs and wife Nicole; great great nieces Aubrey Staggs and Sybil Staggs; great great nephew Beckett Staggs.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Viola Robb, Mamie Staggs and Virginia Staggs; and brother, Willie Robb. 

Thank you to Dawn Rowe, Jennifer Diehle and the staff at Poplar Estates for the loving care they provided Mary through her twilight years. As well thank you to Gayle Staggs for her loving friendship to Mary and for attending to her personal needs. 

Mary was very close to her mother and her sister, Viola. We'll miss her smiling face and humorous spirit but we’re so happy they’re together again.
