Mary Ellen Thresh Robbins

Mary Ellen Thresh Robbins, 68, retired employee of Wal-Mart and resident of Culleoka, died Monday, August 29, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Family and friends will gather Saturday from 3:00 - 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home to celebrate the life of Mary Ellen Robbins. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 23, 1948 in Valparaiso, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Billy Harold Thresh and Ethel Ruth Dunkelbarger Thresh. For several years, she worked in the Fabric Department at Wal-Mart where she used her crafting skills to assist customers. She enjoyed making purses and dolls. She was a former employee of Nu-Kote in Franklin. Mrs. Robbins loved children and treated all her son's friends as her children; and they considered her their second mother. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Wayne & Lacey Robbins of Culleoka; granddaughters, Hallow Eve Robbins and Winter Isis Grainger, both of Culleoka; and sister, Billie Ruth Thresh-Womack of La Porte, Indiana.
