Mary Josephine Gray Sweeney

Mrs. Mary Josephine Gray Sweeney, 83, widow of Clarence "Jack" Sweeney and former resident of Mack Benderman Road, died Sunday, April 20, 2003 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Russell Ward officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Survivors include one son, James Alvin (Victoria Ann) Sweeney of Culleoka; two daughters, Mrs. Alice Hickman, Mrs. Barbara Bell both of Columbia; two sisters, Dorothy Nichols, Velma Davidson both of Columbia; ten grandchildren; several great and great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sons, Edward Sweeney and Wilson Sweeney. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
