Mary Ruth Tidwell

Miss Mary Ruth Tidwell, 71, retired from Levi Strauss & Company, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at her residence on Hatcher Lane. A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 10 - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Carl Elbert Tidwell and Susie Jane McCord Tidwell. She was a long-time resident of Lyles. Survivors include three brothers, Carl Tidwell, Jr., Billy Tidwell and Bobby Tidwell all of Lyles; special friend, Dorothy King; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Tidwell.
